Kate Hopley

Kate has been a Fellow of the Gemmological Association (FGA) since 1996, having studied at the School of Jewellery, and has been a holder of the Diamond Diploma (DGA) since 1997.

Her teaching career began in 1997, specialising in the training of students to FGA and DGA level and the writing and delivery of Courses for Companies within the Jewellery Trade.

Kate continues to advance her own education in Gemmology, completing a course in diamond polishing in Hatton Garden in 2003 and attaining her Gemologist Graduate (GG) Diploma with the Gemological Institute of America in 2005.

Kate is currently Course Director of FE and HE Gemmology at Birmingham City University.
