Rosie White wins Grand First Prize

Student wins Grand First Prize for Contemporary Art Medal as part of the British Art Medal Society Student Medal Project XVII 2010
Rosie White, a 2nd year ND Design Crafts student has won the Grand First Prize. This has been awarded by the Worshipful Company of Founders for the medal that most successfully makes use of the medallic medium. It is worth £500 and they will pay for her to cast a medal for them, for their collection. Rosie will also be sponsored to attend the Annual Conference in Cardiff.
Other good news is that Zahra Dell also 2nd year ND student has won an Honourable Mention for her medal. This prize is a cast pewter paperweight, made by Bigbury Mint in Devon.
The student medals will be on exhibition at National Museum of Wales in April for two months.
