SIDE x SIDE - EDGE > EDGE is the latest collection of silverware by Contemporary British Silversmiths.
The exhibition features 75 pieces of new work designed and made in response to the themed title. As a graduate member of Contemporary British Silversmiths, Anne Davis designed and made 'breakfast tray' for the exhibition. The exhibition will be launched at Häme Castle in Hämeenlinna from 4 August and runs until December 2009.
The collection will tour museums and galleries throughout the UK for 2 years culminating in a final exhibition at Turku Castle in the European Capital of Culture for 2011, Turku, Finland.
Anne has a piece on display in the Millenium Galleries Sheffield, from the 6th November to 16th May 2010. This piece was commissioned earlier in the year by the Sheffield Assay Office as part of their contiuned support to the 'Designer Silversmith Starter Programme' based at Yorkshire Artspace, where Anne is in her 2nd year of the programme.
Anne has also been selected as 'One to Watch' in the lastest issue of Craft & Design Magazine (Nov/Dec 2009 Issue 206".
Anne Davis graduated in 2008 with a BA Honours in Jewellery & Silversmithing. On completing her studies, she returned to her home town of Sheffield, where she was awarded a prestigious place in the Silversmith Starter Studio at Yorkshire Artspace.
