Time for a New Champion!

The British Jewellers Association, as the trade body, has been organising the best talent in the local industry since 1912 to compete for the Golf Challenge Cup. For some managers this annual event represents a highlight of the year; for some it represents another failed opportunity.
This years tournament was held on 16 June at the Beau Desert Club, Cannock Chase, with 25 hopeful players. We are pleased to report that, much to everyones’ surprise, Brian Birkmyre, at his first attempt, was the winner!
Brian finished his BHI horology course at the School two years ago and now works in Warstone Lane for Roy Hancocks.
Our picture shows a proud Brian with his silver trophy both of which can be viewed at the Warstone Lane shop.
Congratulations to Brian who is looking forward to defending his title next year, and, incidentally, there is no truth in the rumour that the School atrium doubles as a putting practice venue!
