International guest lecturers

Today a jam packed lecturer theatre welcomed international visiting lecturers Damian Skinner (curator & writer) + Lisa Walker (jewellery artist)
Our students relished this unique opportunity to see these highly acclaimed guest speakers who had travelled from New Zealand and Germany.
The pair collaborated to present a thought provoking and challenging insight into the working methodology’s and studio practice of jewellery artist Lisa Walker. Lisa introduced her work with images and extracts of personal reflection, whilst Damian related her work to historical and contemporary contexts with insightful observations and critical appraisal.
Its not often you experience the interaction and dialogue between both artist and writer. This gave students a unique insight their collaboration.
