We are pleased to mention a new jewellery initiative based in Bangkok called Tanim. It is the first of its kind in Thailand and seeks to promote contemporary studio jewellery by offering a platform for members to exchange knowledge, information and criticism.
Two of its founder members are well known to the School. Atty Tantivet was one of the students taught by School staff at a special programme conducted in 2007 at the Bangkok Institute of Fashion Accessories. She has been joined in the Tanim venture by Chaiwat Wattananukit (Gim) who completed his MA in jewellery at the School in 2003.
Atty is currently undertaking a short course at Alchimia jewellery school, Florence.
