Launch of the new summer short course programme

The School of Jewellery and Jewellery Industry Innovation Centre is pleased to launch the new 6 week summer short course programme for 2009 which begins on June 22nd.

More than 50 exciting courses have been planned to offer professional development to beginners or experienced creative practitioners and in keeping with our reputation we have once again engaged some of the very best tutors from industry and academia.

The School of Jewellery is located in the heart of Birmingham’s famous Jewellery Quarter, with many industry specialists for tools, materials and services easily accessible to students.

•    Digital Model Making - From Design to Computer to Model / Keith Adcock

•    Enamelling Jewellery - An introduction / Tamizan Savill

•    Metal Forming with a Hydraulic Press, including the use of Argentium Silver / Cynthia Eid

•    Metal Patination and Etching - An Introduction / Alan Kirton

 Courses are open to everyone, places are very limited and are allocated on a first-come first served basis.
