The ninth international festival of contemporary jewellery, Brilliantly Birmingham, opened last night with a spectacular performance by our 2nd year BA (Hons) Jewellery and Silversmithing students.
Each student individually designed and hand-made an innovative piece of jewellery in which they showcased together in an extravagant, vibrant and dramatic performance. The overall effect created an explosion of sound, colour, and bionic movement.
Reflecting on the performance their lecturer Zoe Robertson commented “We are incredibly proud of the students; their hard work preparing for the event has really paid off. The response has been fantastic and I would like to say a massive thank you to all involved”
