Birmingham’s School of Jewellery students have been invited to showcase their work at a special performance to launch this year’s Brilliantly Birmingham, the eighth international festival of contemporary jewellery on 22nd November 2007.
2nd year students studying on the BA (Hons) Jewellery and Silversmithing course at Birmingham City University have been set the challenge to choreograph a performance and showcase their unique creations
for the prestigious VIP preview evening to be held at the School of Jewellery.
Each student has individually designed and hand-made an innovative piece of jewellery on the theme of “Brummie Barumba”. With salsa inspired dance moves they have created a vibrant and
energetic spectacular and together their work will create a visual explosion of colour and movement to launch the festival in style.
